Heritage Luxury Meets 4K Laser Cinema – Private Villa, Dubai
The Challenge
We were handed a raw "shell and core" space and tasked with building a world-class private cinema from scratch. This
allowed us to control every variable, from structural soundproofing and tiered flooring to the final ornate gold-leaf
finishes, ensuring a perfect marriage of "Old World" aesthetics and flagship technology
From Scratch Engineering: Starting with a raw shell meant we had to design the entire internal structure, including
the machine room and tiered seating platforms, to accommodate a massive 200-inch screen.
Engineering-Led Aesthetics: Because the speaker layout was the priority, we calculated the precise geometry for
the KEF Meta drivers first and then custom-built the decorative arches and pillars around those fixed points.
Structural Acoustic Decoupling: We built a "box-within-a-box" structure to ensure that the high-output KEF audio
systems remained isolated from the rest of the villa.
Ornate Reflection Management: The challenge was to integrate professional-grade absorption and diffusion behind
traditional velvet panels to counter the reflections from the gold moldings and coffered ceilings.

We designed and executed a fully integrated home cinema room with smart automation tailored to their lifestyle.
Key highlights of the solution:
- Full Turnkey Build: We managed the entire project lifecycle, including the structural build, machine room setup,
acoustic treatment, and the final supply of recliners and carpets.. - Flagship 4K Visuals: The Sony VPL-XW7000ES 4K Laser Projector was installed to provide 3,200 lumens of
brightness, essential for the 200-inch Elite Screens display. - Architectural Audio Mastery: A reference-grade KEF Meta array was utilized, featuring Ci5160RLM-THX for the front and six Ci3160RLM-THX for surrounds, all calibrated for studio-grade accuracy
- Bespoke Low-End: We integrated a hybrid subwoofer array using hidden KEF Kube 12 MIE units at the front and
KEF Ci200QSB units at the rear for perfectly uniform bass - Unified Smart Ecosystem: Lutron manages the complex lighting, while a Control4 Core with the Halo Remote
provides the client with a single-tap interface for the entire cinema. - Everything was connected into a single smart ecosystem, allowing the client to control the entire experience via touch panel or mobile.
